MTHFR is one of the most studied genetic SNPs, with the two main variants being C677T and A1298C. These changes reduce the body’s ability to process folate and make energy, leaving people exhausted and deficient in key nutrients. Specialized folates, B12 forms, and glutathione can bypass the blockages, and products like MTHFR Daily were designed specifically to fill these nutrient gaps so patients can restore energy and thrive.

Let's talk about MTHFR. MTHFR is a genetic snip variability. A snip, a single nucleotide polymorphism is a different version of a specific gene. When the human genome project scoped out all the or not all the genes, but many of the different genes that humans can

0:19

have, uh they made note and made correlations of what snips do what, what different gene types can actually change. And so MTHFR is one of these ones that have been pretty well studied and well understood at least by certain types of scientists and doctors. Not all

0:36

doctors will understand and appreciate the differences of the MTHFR genes, but the two main SNIPS that we always talk about is the C677T and the A1298C MTHFR gene snips. Look back at one of my other videos when I talked about hetererozygous versus homozygous versus

0:53

wild type. um that just means the how many snips or how many parts of that of that gene you received from your parents. Either you received one from each of your parents or one from one parent or none. Um and that's that's kind of the difference between those.

1:08

But MTHFR, what does it mean if you have MTHFR? If you have one of these snips, the main thing that people struggle with is exhaustion. Just being tired. Uh you never feel like you get enough energy. You can never get ahead. And and that's because down at the very microscopic

1:25

level inside your cells, you are struggling to make ATP. You're struggling to make the energy currency that your whole body runs off of based on the different MTHFRs. The C677T homozygous one is the most intense and

1:41

where you will have the least amount of efficiency of making energy. And so MTHFR is the breakdown of folate and everything around it to help your body make energy. And so there's several

1:57

different nutrients that are key and critical in that process. And because of your MTHFR genes, you will be deficient in some of those. And so in our clinic, we've done a lot of different workarounds for our MTHFR patients. Uh, one thing is using a specialized version

2:13

of folate called 5 MTHF, but that version does tend to lead people to overmethylate and everyone's a little bit different. Everyone can handle a little bit different amounts of it. But then there's folinic acid and then there's also the different B12s that all

2:30

help supplement around it. With all of our MTHFR patients, we've seen many of the same intracellular deficiencies. And you can look at our MTHFR daily supplement that that product is literally built on all of the deficiencies that we've seen in the

2:45

majority of our MTHFR patients. That's exactly what it does. Fill those holes, energy production gets better. So you hear us talk a lot about methylation and the transuleration pathway. These go hand in hand. The way that homoyine is converted into glutathione, parts of

3:02

that process rely on the methylation pathway of folate. the MTHFR pathway. So, if you have errors on one, you're probably going to have errors on the other and everything just compounds on top of each other. But if you can address your MTHFR issues, you can

3:17

address your antioxidant production issues as well. So, supplementing with glutathione as well as all those nutrients that are in MTHFR daily can be lifechanging for people. I myself am one of those people. If you can get a handle on these deficiencies that are caused

3:32

and that you deal with your entire life, you can live a full and healthy life. How wonderful is that? The one way I always like to think about how to treat MTHFR, how to manage it, is filling in holes of a brick wall, a brick wall that

3:48

is missing pieces, missing bricks all throughout it. With a very unsteady wall, it doesn't function very well as a wall. it's ready to fall down if things can pass right on through it. But if you can fill and place those bricks exactly where they need to be, you get a very

4:05

sturdy and strong wall. And that's exactly what your body can do as well. Fill the holes caused by MTHFR and your body will thrive.
