Understand the connection

CD14 is an immune recognition protein, rather than a blood-pressure reading. Dr. Purser explores how bacterial endotoxin signaling and inflammation can affect the lining of blood vessels.

Follow the pathway

This teaching follows LPS recognition through CD14 and TLR4 into cytokine signaling, oxidative stress, and changes in vascular function. Blood-pressure swings still need their own evaluation, including medicines, hydration, autonomic function, and cardiovascular health.

Bring these questions to your visit

Ask which result is being discussed: a genetic variant, a measured protein level, or a diagnosed condition. How does it fit with your symptoms and other tests? Dr. Purser discusses antioxidant support alongside these pathways; ask how any supplement would fit with your medicines and care plan.
