Understand the connection

Coenzyme Q10 participates in the mitochondrial electron transport chain, which helps cells make ATP. The heart and nervous system depend on this energy supply.

Follow the pathway

Dr. Purser connects CoQ10 with autonomic balance and heart rate variability, the variation in time between heartbeats. He also discusses the reduced form, ubiquinol, and antioxidant protection. HRV changes with sleep, illness, exercise, medicines, and many other factors.

Bring these questions to your visit

Ask whether symptoms, medicines, and a documented nutrient concern support discussing CoQ10. An HRV value alone does not diagnose a deficiency or a heart condition.
