Understand the connection

Eosinophilic esophagitis, or EoE, is an inflammatory condition affecting the esophagus. It can cause swallowing difficulty or food to become stuck.

Follow the pathway

Dr. Purser discusses IL-4/IL-13 signaling, eosinophils, and the IL-4 receptor alpha target of dupilumab. He considers oxidative stress alongside approaches such as dietary evaluation and prescribed treatment.

Bring these questions to your visit

Ask which findings confirm EoE and how symptoms and repeat assessment will track response. Food impaction needs urgent care; do not wait for a supplement strategy to resolve it.
