How the pieces connect

Hormone, sexual health, food, and lifestyle questions can change with age and goals. Start with the symptom or decision you want to understand.

Connect the symptom to the treatment goal

The hormone and lifestyle handbook brings together several goals: relief of troublesome symptoms, sexual wellbeing, nutrition and long-term health. These goals are related but not interchangeable. A treatment that improves a symptom does not automatically prevent disease. A hormone measurement also needs a reason for being checked. Reading with a clear goal makes it easier to compare Dr. Purser’s approach with the choices discussed in an individual consultation.

Keep in mind

Some older teaching includes targets or plans that may no longer fit your care. Bring your current results and goals to a qualified clinician before changing treatment.
